I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and moved to Alberta in 1982 and then to Vancouver Island in 2005. After first gaining a Fine Arts Diploma from North Island College in the beautiful Comox Valley, I moved on to graduate with a BFA in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Since then I have been living and working as a full time artist in Comox.

My paintings are studies in colour, line, shape and texture. They often reflect a sense of vulnerability and turbulence. Constantly exploring the creative process takes them from landscape reminiscent to complete abstraction. I am most often lost in the manipulation of paint and the process of gestural abstraction not having any real idea of what will transpire.
